Nakheel has awarded a main construction contract valued at more than Dh800 million to build 537 homes at Bay Grove Residences on Dubai Islands, according to developer announcements.

The master developer selected Metac General Contracting Co to carry out the building works across seven residential towers. Nakheel confirmed that every home included in the package has already sold out, with the main construction works scheduled to reach completion in late 2028.

Phase breakdown and community features

The Dh800 million deal covers Phases 1 and 3 of the waterfront scheme. Phase 1 delivers 296 apartments across four residential blocks, while Phase 3 adds another 241 homes distributed over three buildings. The properties range in size from one to four bedrooms.

Under the contract, Metac's scope includes structural basements, associated infrastructure, and dedicated resident amenities. According to project plans, the grounds will feature swimming pools, play courts, and a fitness centre. The community design also includes landscaped communal areas, walking and cycling routes, and direct access to Crystal Beach.

The entire Bay Grove Residences master plan will eventually encompass 1,154 homes spread across 15 residential buildings. That leaves another 617 homes planned across Phases 2 and 4, which will expand the waterfront community in subsequent stages.

Delivery of the wider coastal project

Khalid Al Malik, CEO of Dubai Holding Real Estate, said the contract award marks another important step in the development of Dubai Islands. He noted that the full sell-out of Bay Grove Residences demonstrates the depth of demand for high-quality waterfront homes in Dubai, emphasizing a focus on disciplined execution and enduring quality to create a distinctive coastal destination that supports the city's long-term growth.

Bay Grove Residences stands as one of the residential communities taking shape across Dubai Islands, the multi-island waterfront destination formerly known as Deira Islands. The overall master development comprises five interconnected islands located along the northern coastline of Dubai, designed to feature expansive beachfronts, resort hospitality, and coastal living.
