Atlantis The Royal has climbed to fourth place on The 50 Best Hotels 2026 list, marking its highest global ranking yet. The resort also collected two continental titles this year, taking home Best Hotel in the Middle East 2026 and Best Beach Hotel 2026.

The result continues a steep rise for the Palm Jumeirah landmark, just three years after debuting on the annual table. The resort entered the ranking at 44th place in 2023, jumped to ninth in 2024, moved to sixth in 2025, and now sits comfortably in the global top five.

The annual list was unveiled on 15 September at Les Salles du Carrousel in Paris. It marked the first time organizers staged the ceremony outside London since launching the awards in 2023. Rosewood Hong Kong took the top spot for a second straight year, followed by Capella Bangkok in second and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River in third.

More than 800 travel specialists vote on the rankings, basing choices on personal stays rather than occupancy rates, revenue, or public guest scores.

Dubai secures two spots in global top 15

Atlantis The Royal was not the only local address recognized. Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab rose five spots to take 15th place on the global list. That property debuted at 20th place following its opening in March 2025.

Behind Atlantis The Royal at fourth, the list placed Passalacqua on Lake Como at fifth and Rosewood São Paulo at sixth.

Located on Crescent Road on Palm Jumeirah, Atlantis The Royal operates 795 rooms and suites. Those include 44 penthouses fitted with private glass-sided swimming pools. The property holds more than 90 pools across its grounds, alongside a waterpark, an aquarium, a dolphin bay, a helipad, and a beach club.

The resort also houses several high-profile dining concepts, including outposts from Nobu, Heston Blumenthal, and José Andrés' Jaleo, alongside New York export Carbone. Listed starting rates on The 50 Best site begin at $460 per night.
