Teachers monitor progress throughout.\n- The second level adds targeted teaching for students who are not making enough progress towards their academic or behavioural goals.\n- The third level provides intensive, specialised and individual support. External specialists may be involved when needed.\n\nSchools use screening, diagnostic assessments and progress monitoring to guide decisions at each level, the report said. They may also create individual learning plans and use positive behavioural approaches to support academic and social development.\n\n## What The AI Looks For\n\nEducational consultant Shereen Faraj told Emirates 24|7 that academic difficulties are often preceded by signs that can be identified early. These may include assessment results, classroom participation, achievement levels, attendance, motivation, behaviour and changes in how a student interacts with learning.\n\nFaraj said AI can help schools connect several indicators at once and analyse large amounts of information. This can give teachers and support teams a broader picture of a student’s needs and reveal patterns that may require attention.\n\nThe system is not intended to label students as failures. Faraj said the purpose is to understand what support a student needs and adjust that support based on their response.\n\nAdnan Abbas, executive director of Al Nahda National Schools in Abu Dhabi, told the publication that the programmes examine academic, behavioural, social and additional educational needs. He said the collected data should guide support plans rather than create fixed classifications.\n\nParents are also part of the process. Schools are asking families to share observations that may help explain a child’s learning difficulties and to take part in monitoring progress.
